I played this game on Saturday

Where did I find it?

I found this game on the EA sports application on the xbox 360 as I bought the season pass last year

What is the genre?

The genre of this game is the sports genre

What is the purpose?

The purpose of the FIFA14 early access is to give people who have bought the EA season pass as they are big fans of EA sports games. This gives those fans the game a week before release to make sure they like it and buy the game and also so the fans can inform EA of any problems of the game before the retail version comes out so all the problems are ironed out by retail release. Also the EA season pass is a way of EA earning more money by people paying out 20 pound for 6 months of ultimate team packs and the game a week early.

The institution producing the text is EA a massive games company.

Target Audience?

The target audience for the early access is adults as you need to pay for the pass of the marketplace on the games console and also for sports fans that are adults. Also I believe this early access is for the main streamer as football is part of most people's life and fifa is also part of a lot of people's lives as they are able to become the footballer virtually. 

My reaction to the text?

I really enjoyed the Fifa 14 access as it really improved upon FIFA 13 as it felt completely different to as it was a lot slower and suited my style of play. Also the menus have been completely refined making it more modern and slick to appeal more to the main streamer. To me Fifa represents The narcotizing dysfunctional model as it appeals to football fans a lot and it makes them just want to sit in the coach and play it and not go out at all.

Why would people consume the text?

People would consume this text as they are massive football fans or are big fans of EA and I would say that the main streamer would consume this as a lot of people are football fans and have the season pass so consume it cause they can like i did with madden when that was released a week early on the pass.

Could some people react in different ways to the text how?

Yes i believe people could react in  different ways to the text as some people may not be able to justify the 20 pound price tag for the benefit of getting the game early with advantages for months to the game and so might get annoyed with EA. Others believe that FIFA does not change much over the years so they might play the game and get very angry and believe it has not changed much and this might then stop them form getting the retail version and they might actually stop people from buying it as well as they believe it is a carbon copy of the last game.
