Film Review

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.

Harry Potter is a fantasy film which is part as an eight-part film sequel, as well as a seven book set. The Harry Potter films are based on the J.K Rowling novels. The film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 had its world premiere on the 7th of July 2011 in London’s Trafalgar Square.  The film was directed by David Yates and is a Warner Brothers pictures.
The script for the last Harry Potter film was written by Steve Kloves and produced by David Heyman, David Barron and J.K Rowling herself.
As the last part to the magnificent Harry Potter squeal that we have seen and watched grow on our screens since 2001, I felt like this film should give the story of Harry Ron and Hermione the justice that the characters deserved. This film should be the ultimate Harry Potter film that should be remembered by everyone for all the right reasons and in my opinion it was everything and more than I expected and wanted it to be.  Of course a lot of special effects is used in all the Harry Potter films, but I think more are possibly used in this last one. In my opinion I do not think you can tell that anything is fake, in the film everything looks so life like, even the castle which some parts are computer generated, also the chamber of secrets which is used in the second film but also used in the last film.
Without the actors and actresses this film would not be as successful as it is. David Radcliff the star role in the film, he played Harry Potter himself, as we watch him grow from a young boy to a grown ‘man’ we still remember the brave eleven year old known as ‘the boy who lived’ in the first film. Harry alongside his two best friends Ron played by Rupert Grint and Hermione played by Emma Watson; have another action packed adventure and more trouble facing them in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. There are also other important key charachers in the story which help the novel be brought to life. They are: Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix Lestrange, Robbie Coltrane as Rubeus Hagrid, Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy, Ralph Fiennes as Lord Voldemort, Alan Rickman as Severus Snape, Maggie Smith as Minerva McGonagall and Julie Walters as Molly Weasley and of course there were many others include in this film.
As the finale film in the Harry Potter sequel this time, Harry, Ron and Hermione are out to destroy Lord Voldemort once and for all. The trio are hunting to find Voldemorts Horcruxes in order to destroy his soul, which 8 parts have been hidden in these Horcruxes to make sure he stays alive forever.
They figure out that they have to go back to Hogwarts castle to find a hidden Horcruxe and here they have a battle with Voldemort and his death eaters. In the room of requirement where the Horcruxe is hidden Draco Malfoy goes after Harry in order to kill him, but he doesn’t. A fire is started and they are all trapped Harry, Ron and Hermione escape on brroms and instead  of leaving Draco Harry rescues him which suggests that deep down hey really do like each other despite being enemies all the way through.
There is a scene where Voldemort kills Professor Snape with his pet snake. Harry, Ron and Hermione go in after Voldemort has left to check on Snape. Snape is just about still alive and tells Harry to collect his tears. Then just before he dies he says ‘you’ve got your mothers eyes;’ to Harry. Harry then watches Snapes memories from the tears he has given him, and finds out that he is the last horcruxe Voldemort never meant to make, so this meant Harry must die. Snape also loved Harry’s mother so all these years Snape had been protecting him.
So now Harry must go to Lord Voldemort because he has no choice. As he is walking into the forbidden forest he discovers that he has had the resurrection stone all along. Then facing him he meets with his dead relative’s, this is an emotional scene because we see Harry speak to everyone that was taken away from him. When he leaves them he drops the stone as a symbol saying that he is ready to die and he is not scared. When he is faced with Voldemort, he kills him instantly after mocking him. Harry ends up in a heaven like place and meets up with Dumbledore, his old headmaster who had died. Harry finds out that he can go back. So there is another twist, just as we think Harry Potter is dead, he isn’t because in just a few moments he will come back alive.
Harry is carried back to the school grounds where all his school friends and teachers think he is dead. Voldemort thinks he has won by this point and is telling people to join his side. Then when its least expected Harry jumps up shocking everyone even Voldemort is gob smacked because he was supposed to be dead. So the battle continues and this time they are after the last Horcruxe which is his pet snake. After fighting and killing it is in fact Neville Longbottom who kills the snake with the sword of griffindor. Voldemort is defeated and there in front of our eyes he crumbles away to just ash.
The film skips to 19 years later where we see Harry Potter and Ginny Weasly married waving their own child off to Hogwarts he goes by the name of ‘Albus Serverus Potter.’ And also there on the Platform is Hermione and Ron with their child, and there Draco Malfoy is also present with his own son. As Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny wave off their children we also say goodbye to their adventures that has kept us entertained since 2001.
