Directed by -Robert Wise
The text I am writing about is a musical called the Sound of music which is based on a true story from 1938. I am writing about this film because I have recently watched the film so it is clear on my mind. The film is about the Von Trapp family singers and was set in Austria in 1965 staring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer. The Captain has seven children and since his wife's passing has turned his home into having strict rules. Maria is currently living as a Nun but breaks the rules to much so the reverend mother decides that Maria should leave and take the job as a Governess in the Von Trapp household. Maria brings joy into the children's life's by singing.

The music in the film is very uplifting and can change your mood instantly. I think most people will agree that all the songs in the movie are catchy and easy to learn such as Do-Re-Mi. As the movie was set in 1965 the special effects are limited because they never had the software and lighting that we have today.

The film is rated 7.9/10
