Pixies- Wave of Mutilation-Best of Pixies (Album)

The media text i am going to write about is a complication album by the band The Pixies (or just 'Pixies').
The album was released on the 3rd of May 2004 (i tunes) and contains 23 of The Pixies most well know and successful songs including: 'Gigantic (single version)', 'Hey', 'Debaser', 'Here Comes Your Man' and 'Where Is My Mind', which is widely known for being the sound track to the final scene of the 1999 film 'Fight Club' directed by David Fincher and includes stars such as: Brad Pitt, Edward Norton and Helena Bonham Carter.

Personally, my favorite track on the album is Gigantic which is also well know for being on of the late Kurt Cobain's (Nirvana Vocalist/Guitarist) favorite songs. Easily the most well known song on the album is Where Is My Mind, which is most likely to do with the final scene of Fight Club but can also be likely to another band called Placebo's live cover of the song which got fans of the band who hadn't already heard the original song or hadn't heard of The Pixies to listen to the song and then where likely to become fans of The Pixies through further listening to their other songs.
