How the film came about:
- Danny Boyle got asked if he wanted to make a film about Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, and he didnt really like the idea until he seen that it was written by Simon Bauefoy, and his first reaction when he read the script was that he wanted to make the film.
- Some of the problems when making the film was the language barriers with the cast. The young cast couldn't speak English at all.
- Casting three people as the same character without makeup was also a challenge.
- The camera's that they used one day, they couldn't put them back there the next day or the next week due to things getting in the way. For example, a wall being built in one of the places.
- Shooting was hectic for Danny Boyle because there were thousands of people behind looking at what was going on.
