Pretty Little Liars Review

Pretty Little Liars is one of the most popular, intriguing series of episodes that I have ever come across. The programme was created by Marlene King and it was director by several people. The whole sets of series have so many shocking moments which keeps you hooked as a viewer and wants you to continue watching it. Four girls lose their best friend, Alison, but when her supposedly body is found an anomalous user called 'A' wont stop messaging them and making their life a living hell. The group of girls Emily, Spencer, Aria and Hanna are suppose to believe this is Alison and that she is not dead, but his true? there secrets become at risk here as this so called 'A' threats to spill them. These four high school girls aren't just typical teenage girls, the secrets they share would ultimately ruin their lives if spread. Teacher as boyfriends, a cheating sister, and biggest of all blinding somebody by a fire. Pretty Little Liars is considered as a thriller which can be off putting to some viewers but something is different about this series, it has significant meaning than just a thriller.

Throughout the episodes, the plot constantly twists as the finger is pointed at so many people to reveal who the real 'A'. Will the truth of who 'A' is ever be revealed? the actors of Pretty Little Liars are impeccable, their emotions almost feel so real that you believe that it is actually happening. Hanna is known as the strong one of the group, but even she shows emotion which grabs the audiences attention. Hanna is played by Ashley Benson. the character Spencer is played by Troian Bellisario who is actual 30 years of age in real life and plays a teenage girl! The role is played amazingly as she sets herself into a mindset of a teenage girl and brings an excellent performance.

The mood of Pretty Little Liars is constantly mysterious as the audience are unaware of what surprise 'A' is going to deliver next to the four liars. With the mood being mysterious this attracts the viewer to carry on as they like the feeling of being on edge as the series is just so unpredictable. Themes that show up in Pretty Little Liars are love, violence, death and mystery. Love is portrayed through all the series as Aria has a passionate love for her English teacher Ezra Fitz. Hanna fell in love with Caleb when she took him in and gave him n idea of proper care, Spencer admires the suspicious Toby and Emily loved Maia to start off with but she always had a secret love for her best friend , Alison.  Violence is constantly shown, every episode 'A' has something new in mind for the liars and this usually involves some sort of harmful action. Death is a key theme in this series, so many important characters die by being taken by 'A' this gives the idea that one of the liars is going to be next.

I believe the target audience can range for Pretty Little Liars as most teenage girls watch it as the characters are the same age so it can be easily related to. However I think because the series is so interesting and intriguing it can appeal to anybody who is interested in thriller. Pretty Little Liars can be similar to the other popular series Gossip Girl as it is both based around an anomalous person who it out to destroy their lives and spread their secrets. Also, they are similar as it is based around high school girls trying to figure out how to stop their secrets from being spread. I would personally rate Pretty Little Liars as 4 stars as it is very intriguing but it can seem to go on for too long.Image result for pretty little liars
