Choose any text that you have consumed this week and explain who the audience is, simple as that!
However...
- You must use the four different models for defining the audience
- You must give reasons for your decisions based on evidence from the text
this sounds pretty simple but there are some pit falls that people fall into...
Remember...
- that if you are analysing and advert that you are not analysing the product
- the 4Cs model uses metaphors i.e. you do not have to be an actual explorer to be part of the Explorer audience type
- you are looking at who the audience are not the characters or celebrities in the text i.e. a text with a load of rich people in it is not necessarily targeting the 'A's from the Income/Status model or the Succeeder from the 4Cs
