Shows how often deaths occur in African countries and the
use of the lick shows just how quickly
it occurs. We need to help as this is caused by extreme poverty in these
African countries.
Visual style
The people used in the advert are all well known people
which makes it more appealing as they are recognisable. The voice over used is
also powerful and informative meaning we are unlikely to question anything
about it. The fact each click is a different person emphasizes how many people
have died during the viewing of that advert.
Lines of appeal
It appeals to our need to nurture as it focuses specifically
on children in Africa and so it would make us think of it from their point of
view, being a helpless child or being the parent of a child who is likely to
die at any moment.
What works
The shocking nature of the advert works as it makes the
audience aware of something they probably don’t think about much.
