Blue cross animal charity-
The message being told through this advert is that the animals are not aware of why they are being abandoned. We are also told in this advert that us humans are the only people who can help the animals in need, and that we can do this by giving them a second chance in a good home where they will be loved and cared for. "The blue cross is always there" presents the message that The Blue Cross will never leave these animals and that this charity can be relied on to look after these animals in need.
Visuals & Narrative techniques-
The advert does not focus on the situation that the dog is in therefore suggests that any animal in any situation whether it be abuse or abandonment can rely on the help from The Blue Cross. The advert also focuses on the animal not the owners making the message that the animals come first very clear. The setting's of the advert is not there to shock you but is there to make you relate, the normal setting of a family home and not a cold, wreckage of a home. "For when they become an inconvenience. For when there is no one left to care. For when they are no longer wanted." With each sentence a new image of a different dog is shown to enhance the idea that this is a common act, to abandon animals. In different scenes one dog is sitting on the bed while it's owners life is changing around them, one other dog is looking through the window from outside at it's owners, by doing this the charity makes the idea of the dogs being helpless an important ideology.
