this is suggesting that these magazines aren't to be seen by older people, because of the things in it, older people will be be interested in it, these magazines revolve around men and sex and this is not something that older people want to see.

 this quote suggests that people that was born later accept homosexuality more than older people, younger people are used to seeing couples of the same sex. where as older people grew up thinking it was a sin.

'girl power'
girl power is mentioned in a lot of magazines, it gives the idea to women that all women need to stick together and not let men get them down because they are 'better than that' because the role of gender has changed so much. the girl power saying gets stronger as women are represented as stronger within the media.
