Readers are represented as being interested when they might not be.  The 4C's model - suggests women are aspirers.


  • ''By anchoring a lot of the content around the life of the celebrity, it allows their readers to feel closer to their lifestyle.''   ''suggests that one reason for choosing to read such magazines may be to feel involved with the stars and celebrities the magazines write about.''  Suggests that women are shallow and are that unhappy with their own lives that they need to step away from reality and become apart of someone else's. Fulfils their needs for escapism. The succeder. No Gossip in mens magazines stereotypes women as gossiping all the time and connotes that this is why a magazine full of gossip is aimed at them.
