The Lego Movie is a film built entirely out of Lego. The film shows the story of one Lego figure who follows the instructions of life. The story shows his journey to become a master builder with the help of his friends. This may sound like another hero film were one person becomes a happy person on their journey but it is completely different. The film is made completely out of Lego and all sound effects are made with people’s mouths. The film shows Lego’s potential and its strengths. This was one of the most popular films of 2014. This film was so popular just because of the effects and narrative.

This film is completely different from any other because it is one of the only films made out of toys. I believe that this film was popular because the whole film is just fun for the whole family. It brings families together because anyone can watch this film and like it instantly because of the comedy and joy that it brings to all ages. Lego has been around for many years so most people will have played with it as a child or used it at some point in their lives. It is one of the most recognised toys of all time and this means that if you have enjoyed Lego before then you will enjoy this film.

However this film isn’t without its flaws. Some things in the film are very cliché and don’t make sense but can be overlooked as the rest of the film just cancels all of these flaws out and allows a brilliant and comedic film to take their place. Many people have said that this film isn’t any good and that it should never have been made but I feel that it is extraordinary and fun. The mistakes can be spotted easily but all of them add to the comedy that the film brings to screens.

In my opinion this is one of the best films that came out in 2014 and is one of my favourite films. The whole comedy of the film and the childlike qualities just bring out the child in you and help you to embrace Lego again. The film is again another way for Lego to make even more money not just from the film but also from the Lego sets that they have made from the film. All of this though doesn’t matter though because we still get a great film that is just incredible.

The effects in this film are extraordinary and just complete the film.  The narrative is also just incredible as it is very comedic and just magnificently put together. The voices used for the characters also just make the film because they are voices of very famous actors that would not normally be in a film like this and not act in this way but they do here because Lego is once again bringing the child out in people and letting them have fun with their imagination again.

In conclusion we see a magnificent film that is well written, with great effects and fun. Once again Lego has made life fun by now bringing this film to our screens for people of all ages to enjoy and be a child once more using your imagination.
