The show Dance Moms is an American reality TV show that follows the lives of young dancers that battle to win contests under the guidance of the infamous dance mentor, Abby Lee Miller. It also precedes to follow the doting Mothers of the children and shows the rivalries they have with each other as a result of their owns child's status and performance.

I believe this due to the fact that the show follows the lives of young stars, they will see them in music videos, on other TV programmes and social media, they may already know the stars very well therefore will want to watch this show.
Throughout the show there is a lot of drama and arguing between the stars of the show, this will create entertainment for teenagers, as it will provoke a reaction out of them when their favourite star may be shouted at, or may fail or win.
The show is of successful children going after their dreams, they may overcome a lot of obstacles but there are sometimes high points. Overall I think the show is not very intellectually challenging with a lot of entertainment, problems with easy solutions crop up and a lot of fuss is made out of nothing, this will result in it being very easy to watch and attract a younger audience that just wants to escape and enjoy themselves for a bit.
