My secret guilty pleasure is the chick flick Clueless.
As a child growing up, my sister has always been the girly girl, and I for one was not. As I grew up I was transfixed with the 80's ( even though I still am) and one of my sisters favourite films was the film hit of 1995 Clueless and as a tomboy, it wasn't something I was interested in, talk or show me anything Back To The Future or The Breakfast club and I'm sold. Yet I didn't understand Clueless and its purpose. However once I hit that teenage girl stage ( you know what I'm talking about) my sister made me sit and watch it. It was like a light bulb that went off in my head, I finally understood the morale of the film. However now when I when my sister asks to watch it I groan and moan but then I watch it by myself and enjoy the 90's as if I was a part of it because 1999 does not count. This film makes me laugh and understand the true meaning of love and friendship, which normally is not my type of film for except the Breakfast Club, that has a special place in my favourite film collection.
The main character is Sher and her main goal in life is to be accepted and admired by her peers which in fact is true she is the 'popular' girl of the school and she loves it. However her other side is that she wants to improve the world and make it a better place, for this she helps with charities and other people that just need a helping hand. Due to this is it attracts the Explorer.
I take the preferred reading as I enjoy, understand and accept the film. I don't normally like or even give chick flicks a chance but there are the odd ones that I like. I prefer horror, gore and fantasy films.
