This charity advert is based around animals being used for entertainment. It shows a chimpanzee locked in a cage, with face paint making it look like a clown. The face paint makes the monkey look happy, even though it is unhappy and this can be seen because the monkey looks sad even with the face paint. This implies that even though it may not be obvious that circus animals do not want to be there, this advert shows how they have no choice because they are forced to perform. This advert spreads awareness for circus animals to show how they have a happy face put onto them so nobody can see how they really feel. The monkeys face paint includes a tear, this allows the audience to understand how these animals are suffering when they are forced to perform.

There is a heading in circus font that says how "animals are not clowns", this suggests that animals such as the chimp in the advert do not want to be a performer and they don't belong in a cage performing for people. It also says "don't be part of the show" in capital, bold letters to emphasise the matter that is being supported. This allows the audience to know not to attend circuses and not to support them. The fact that the monkey is using a direct mode of address allows the advert to connect with the audience because it looks like the monkey is preaching for help. The main focus on the advert is the chimpanzees face, therefor the small writing may not be needed because the large picture is affective enough by taking up most of the picture.

The ideologies of this advert are that these animals are caged and forced to perform in these circuses, when they are not made for entertainment and so they don't belong in that environment.
