Trainwreck (2015)

• There are recognisable actors and actresses used as well as celebrity extras. For example, sports stars John Cena and LeBron James. This allows an attraction from a wider audience including sports fans and romantic comedy fans.

• The lead role is played by Amy Schumer, adding a sense of irony to the role. Amy Schumer is an american comedian who often uses characters similar to the one she plays in Trainwreck as a basis for her comedy. 

•  The music used in this trailer begins at a mellow, slower pace to represent the stable emotions of the lead role. However, as the story progresses, the pace of the music begins to increase, it is clear to see the change in emotions of the character. 

• The clips in the trailer all follow in what seems to be chronological order, to show the progress of time in the plot. 

• The framing/shot types used in the trailers include over-the-shoulder shots, close ups and medium shots. The use of the many different shot types is very effective as it provides dimension to the trailer. The close up allows the audience to analyse emotion of the characters from their facial cues. The over the shoulder shot provides a POV for the audience themselves, as if they are personally witnessing the events of the characters. Finally, the medium shot allows other traits of the characters such as clothes and body language to be taken in by the audience to help them build the character. 

• Also, the technical code of voiceover is used in the trailer. This is effective as it provides an audio narrative for the story which may provide extra information/opinions from the character that help to build the story.

• Binary oppositions are vaguely used in this trailer too. The opposition of freedom vs commitment is enforced through the dilemma presented by the lead role. This will divide the audience dependent on which opposition they support, however also provide the opposite opinion.

• The story is set in New York. This is iconic as New York is known for its involvement in romantic films such as Sex in the City. 

• Producer and Director Judd Apatow is known for his contributions to comedic films such as 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin', 'Knocked Up' and 'This is 40'. Therefore, his imput will provide the extra comedic content and expertise needed to make this film stand out from the typical romantic comedy.
