Barnardo's Advertisement

Barnardo’s Advertisement

This advertisement is a child who has been neglected, he is alone and I think that the environment that he’s in shows this because it’s dirty.
A high angle shot has been used for this image to show that the baby is vulnerable and uncared for, the image hasn’t been cropped as well.

The font on this advertisement is small because they want us to concentrate on the baby and feel the impact.
The baby injecting heroin is shown as it wraps a rope round its arm to stop the blood flow so he can actually inject the heroin.

I think a bad life can be passed on through a poor childhood and Barnardo’s are trying to warn mainly young parents (18-30) as they have more of a chance of neglecting their child. This advertisement appeals to the need for nurture and the need for safety.

The innocent child is suffering and he has grew up to be an abuser of drugs and I think no child deserves to be treated like this. I think that this advertisement is mainly aimed at category B, C1 and C2 so they can help donate money because at the end of the day its to get people to give money to help these types of children.
