The target audience is pretty much anyone over the age of 18 who plays action/crime style open world video games.

Personally I really enjoyed the game, so far anyway, as it has fully succeeded in meeting all my expectiations which i have had for almost 2 years since the games first trailor was released.

Along with most people, I have been a fan of the series for a long time, practically since the first time I played 'Grand Theft Auto Vice City' in my friends house about ten years ago. I was also a huge fan of the previous game Grand Theft Auto IV and i was definitely going to buy this game weather it looked good in the trailers or not, which is probably the same with most video game players because its as if every gamer in the world has some kind of attachment to the series.

Some people will react differently to the text than i will, for example people who are not gamers and see video games are a waste of time will obviously have a different view of the game to me. Some other people may be against the game because of its violence and they will probably claim that the game makes people violent and then blame murders/bank robberies on the game and its content.
