The Status & Income Model
For the Status & Income Model, I think that this film has the target audience from A to D. I believe the film has a large audience pool as it is not a direct adaptation of the monarch's life so you don't need too much knowledge on Antoinette's life to enjoy it .

Y&R's 4Cs Model
Marie Antoinette is a 2006 historical comedy-drama film, written and directed by Sofia Coppola. It is very loosely based on the life of the Queen in the years leading up to the French Revolution. I believe the film appeals to The Explorer and their ideals for a need of new discovery. Marie Antoinette helps this because as it is not an atypical period film; it has intended anachronisms embedded into such as modern clothing and songs and instead of speaking in French accents the actors speak in their natural ones. The stylized and loose telling of Antoinette's story is unique and would appeal to those who seek out something not entirely by the book.

The Lifestyle Categories
Marie Antoinette appeals to the Rebels and Drop-outs lifestyle categories. All of the audience types will find something in the show that appeals to them. Rebels will admire Marie Antoinette's brazenness and bold behaviour that was unorthodox at the time; going on hunting parties with men, infidelities and clapping at an opera. Rebels with relate to the character as they don't follow the norms and values of society, as Antoinette did years before them and the Rebels will follow her example. Drop-outs would like this film as with the short running time they would not have to get involved or committed with a series.

The Uses and Gratifications Model
Marie Antoinette fits into some of the Uses and Gratification models. With Information & Surveillance element all about raising awareness and  the film is an historical piece and has information and facts that informs and teaches the audience about the time period Marie Antoinette is set in; 1700's France. The text also fits in with the Personal Identity element as an audience we can relate, sympathise and empathise with Marie Antoinette; she is a lonely outsider, trapped in a loveless marriage, subjected to cruel gossip and judgement everyday which leads her to behaviour outlandishly, ultimately deciding her fate for her.The film fits into Entertainment & Escapism as the lavish, grandiose sets make our imagination run rampant imaging what it might of been like in the shoes of Marie Antoinette and being part of that time period. The Entertainment aspect is filled by that fact it is an enjoyable yet different film with excellent acting, sharp dialogue and beautiful mise-en-scene such as the period costumes.
