Lisa's story

Lisa's story

Ideologies
The ideologies this advert is trying to put across are very important one's for example this advert is trying to tell use that abuse in the the world is not acceptable especially for teenagers and children and so this is trying to tell us that if we make a donation we could make these peoples lives better by just giving a simple donation.

Voice and Narrative techniques

In this advert the voice over tells us that these children are too afraid to talk to someone about what is going on in their household. Which means this voice over is perfect for this advert because it is telling us what is happening to the child in the advert the child is not telling us herself showing the audience her pain and how afraid she has become to speak out. But to tell us what Lisa has been through herself it puts captions on the screen to tell the story to keep the eerie silence and anguish created by Lisa. To

Advertising techniques

In this advert they use close-ups of Lisas face at the start to grab our attention with the eerie music to make the scene seem darker. This helps us for when the captions come up because it makes us feel like we need to protect this girl because of what she has been through as we do not want her to go through it again. But also the music makes it sound like a dark time which makes us want to protect someone from going through what Lisa has gone through.

What worked/What did not work

I believe the close-ups and the music in the advert work very well because it always gives us a sense that Lisa has been in a bad place and really makes us want to help every other child we can help. Also the captions work very well along with the children playing sound effects because they tell us what Lisa missed out in her childhood and that the audience have the ability to change this for other children that are getting abused. I believe that everything in the advert works very well together.
