Documentaries: Narrative
In most documentaries, the audience is positioned with the protagonist, or one of the main characters, as if they we're there with them. An example of this is American Pickers, all the camerawork is handheld during the parts where they are in garages looking for stuff. Another way the audience is positioned is as if they were talking to the characters, the characters look at the camera and talk about whatever they've found
