Photographic Composition

Cropped - The use of cropping this photograph makes the viewer focus more on the cats eye, and how there is a story behind of it. If it were not to be as close, the photograph would of had a different impact on what we focus on. However, the photograph does not use the rule of thirds, because of this the main focus is the eye and the use of colours and story within it. The bottom of the cats face is almost blurred out, which also makes us focus more to the eye.

Line and shapes - Use of thirds is used within this photograph, the main focus is in the middle showing the buildings and the sky. The contrast of colours also adds effect to the photograph going from a deep blue, to almost an aqua light blue to then delving into black starting from the middle. Our main focus is sort of the sky and the buildings, as they seem to be almost lighting up in the dark. This photograph would of impacted us differently if there were no light in the buildings, or the contrast of colours.

Light and shade - The use of light and shade creates a purpose and meaning to the photograph. As shown above the dandelions contrast in colour to the figure of the woman, this drawing the viewer straight to the dandelions.
