Photographic Composition

This is an example of the Rule Of Thirds in a photograph. This example shows that the main point of interest on the photograph is on the centre intersection, this draws our eyes to this part of the photograph.

This is an example of foreground and background in a photograph. This example draws our eyes to both the interest in the centre of the photograph which is a man with a dog and the background which is of a busy city, this gives the photograph as a whole a lot more visual depth.

This is an example of lines and shapes in a photograph. This example firstly draws out eyes to the bridge, this then makes us look along the lines of the bridge to the buildings.

This is an example of light and shade in a photograph. This example shows a shadow of a flower, this has a good effect because it emphasises the simple outline of a flower that we would never usually pay any attention to.
