Media Diary; Week 3

This is an advert for Marks and Spencers called 'Meeting Britain's Leading Ladies'. The target audience for this would be women aged 25 and above as it shows many famous, well known women who range from different ages such as Helen Mirren, aged 69, who is a well known actress and Ellie Goulding, aged 27, who is a well known singer/songwriter.

The advert would be targeted at the lower middle class and above from the Income/Status classification model. This is because in the advert it has women from various backgrounds and professions such as a nurse, an actress, a model, an author and more.

From 'Young & Rubicam's 4Cs', the advert would be attracted by 'The Succeeder', as in the advert it is all about telling women to be the best that they can be and how to strive to be confident in what they're doing even if they are insecure.

From the life style categories, I would say that this piece of media text would appeal to the Innovators, as it's all about doing what you want to doing and that you can do it even if someone says you cannot. Also the innovator is someone who wants to make the mark on the world and the women in the advert are doing that.
