This front cover of 'Glamour' magazine highlights many representations of gender, this is shown through different key aspects of the high-end fashion magazine. The text is a bright pink colour, which is usually seen as a girly, feminine colour, the reason it is bright is to ensure that nothing in the background could distract from what the main feature is. The text is shown to be even brighter against the pale, dull background, which also supports the idea of keeping readers attention. 'Glamour' is represented by the title text like many other 'high-end' fashion and beauty magazines, such as 'Vogue.'
The cover for this month was a very well known singer Rita Ora, who is classed as one of the sexiest women alive. In this picture she is seen to be holding a dress up to her body, but doesn't seem to be wearing anything behind it, this is to emphasise that Rita is seen as sexy by a lot of people.
The word "sex" stands out against the rest of the text it is surrounded by, as the editors know that will catch the attention of readers. Also, in the bottom left-hand corner there is a 20% discount standing out as it is targeting most of the people who enjoy to read this magazine. The advertisement is for the clothing store 'Urban Outfitters' which is popular among teenagers and young adults, as these are the people that will most likely be reading this magazine.
