Media Diary week 2

This week I sat down with my little brother to watch Monsters University on Saturday at around 6 pm. We sat and watched this film through Netflix, the online movie streaming website. I would describe Monster University as a family film that everyone can watch and enjoy. There are parts in the film that everyone would love. The purpose of the film is to entertain children and teenagers and I believe it makes them excited about going to school, because as we saw in the first Monsters INC movie Sully and Mike had been friends since they started school, which makes children wish they had friends like that, friends that will be there till the end of school or even in Mike and Sullys case until they are grown adults.Disney Pixar were the producers of the film, with a target audience of young children and teenagers. When I first watched the film I really enjoyed it with all the colour they have put into the film and also how they followed the first film with a look back into the past of Mike and Sully. I think people would consume the text to either see what university maybe like, with making new friends or starting new classes, or to remember their college days, staying friends with their friends all the way through the years to maybe starting your first job with your best friend. Some people may react differently to the text for example some people could love the film, opening their eyes to a new world they have never seen before, maybe they decided not to go to university or maybe they have yet to make that decision. Or maybe some people would hate the film as they have gone back in time from the first film where Mike and Sully have jobs to them being young teenagers back at school.
