Coronation Street Live was shown on the 23/9/15 at 7:30pm. I found this on ITV on the T.V and I knew this was on because I have seen it advertised all over the media. The genre of this text is mainstream as it is watched by most groups of audience. The purpose of this text was to end the Callum storyline by having him killed off. it also ended Lloyd and Andreas time in Corrie and started new story lines. The institution producing the text was ITV and it was to celebrate 60 years of ITV. The target audience was anyone who likes Corrie or soaps.

My reaction to this text was that it was phenomenal and extremely brilliant. The storylines used in it were just great and the camerawork was just fascinating. The fact that it was live also made it better because anything could go wrong at any moment but it didn't because Corrie always knows how to put on a show and how to act without any mistakes. The amount of planning behind the live was just extremely brilliant because no one would stand still for 5 minutes because they wanted to make it as good as possible. The acting was brilliant as it looked like it had been well rehearsed and a lot of effort had gone into it. The camerawork showed high levels of skill as steady cams and lots of high and low angled shots were used. This makes the whole quality of the episode better because it looks more realistic and better quality. The fact that it was live and things change just make the whole episode look and feel different so it had a massive impact on me and it will stay with me for years to come and help to see Corrie in a different Light.

Most people would consume this text because it has been advertised all over the media and it is there in front of us all the time so you are drawn into it and you can't escape it. People may also watch Corrie normally so they will want to see it. I think that others may disagree with me and say that there were a few mistakes but they would have to be really picky to notice them. they may also say that some of the acting wasn't perfect but that may be the case but to me that doesn't matter because what they have to remember is that it is live so there is bound to be some mistakes made but overall I think it was a perfect episode.
