Media Diary Week 3

Audience classification

The media text that I will be classifying the audience for is Charlotte Crosby's 3 minute belly blitz Fitness DVD.

Charlotte Crosby's Fitness DVD is a best selling fitness DVD that claims to blast off up to 5 pounds a week!
I think the majority of the audience will be class C 1 and 2. The reason i think this is that the DVD is priced at £12.60 which below C 1 and 2 will not be able to afford luxuries such as DVD's. Any classes above such as B and A are less likely to be the audience of the DVD as they have a much more busy lifestyle and would usually have a membership in the gym which is routines whereas class C 1 and 2 have time to do activities at home.
It is more likely for females aged 16-25 to be the audience of this text as media portray a 'perfect' look for young females to be thin therefore they want to achieve this and by using this fitness DVD.
The type of audience that would watch this text is the aspirer's  and the succeeder's. The aspirer's core need  in life is status which they believe is looks; by looking their best they are the best. The succeeder is similar as there core need in life is to have control. The way Charlotte Crosby is positioned and has focused eye contact connotes a challenge to the audience to see if they can do better which the succeeder takes as they want control over others.
I think the trendies are  most likely to be the audience of Charlotte Crosby's 3 minute belly blitz as they are desperate for the admiration of other people; the way they can get this is by looking better which the DVD claims to do.
