NSPCC Adverts.

The first advert is a close up shot of a girl signifying how she feels very trapped and isolated as though there’s nowhere to go or anyone to turn to. The image of her face dominates the page therefore the text becomes secondary so that you focus on the image and then the text so that you become more interested about the text and what it has to say. The target audience are teenagers who are in similar situations of abuse. This is significant because NSPCC are likely to get more donations as the audience can empathise with the girl in the image. Preferably the struggler would empathise more than others who in this case would be reaching out for help.  The lighting contrasts greatly on either side of her face as the shadow is used to make her appear two faced. This has connotations of happiness and hope whereas the shadow and low-key lighting has connotations of darkness and unhappiness.
