Spectre trailer

The new James bond film spectre is from the genre action thriller, i see the trailer this way from the music, costumes, setting, camera angles and the plot .The genre of the film would be a thriller type of film filled with car chases and gun fights, aimed at young teenaged boys or mid aged men mainly. Everything mention add different effects to the movies franchise, with the camera angles making James Bond, the main character stand out through out the movie, also with the costumes it seems that he is smart and well dressed but also that he is a professional spy.

Music-for all the new James bond trailers they have used different artists to wright their own song for the movie. With Adele writing the theme tune ‘skyfall’ for the 2012 movie Skyfall. For this year’s new movie they had Sam Smith write ‘Writings on the wall’ for Spectre. Giving the movie its own theme tune that is different every time. Adding to the excitement of the film as it only appears every 3 years, watch different music every time. While the opening of the film doesn't have any music playing, after we get the intro of the film the classic James Bong sound track can be heard in the back ground of the whole trailer.

Costume-the trailer shows Daniel Craig wearing many suits, this portrays him as a professional, he also looks smart and classy while he goes around different cities having car chases and gun fights. while in the film Daniel Craig is always see in a suit whether its fights or have a sit down meal showing that he is a professional in what he does as he is able to keep the suit looking clean throughout the movie. Every character we see in the film is dressed smartly suggesting that they are also professionals. In once scene James and a woman are sat in a carriage on a train i believe and they are both dressed up him and suit as always and her in an elegant ball gown. Maybe talking about business or not but while doing so they still look professional.

Setting- I would say that the setting is in quite a rural place, e.g. a dessert. Other than that I would say that its set in an up sate busy city. As it is mainly set in the city more people can relate to the city for example London is the capital of the UK and many people will have visited London or may even live there. For other parts of the filmiest set in Mexico city, with a big festival taking place in the background of the first few shots we see of James. After we go from Mexico to London we are then introduced to a different setting where the first car/plane chase takes place, in a snowy mountain range. Then we see a car chase take place in a well built up, busy city.

Camera angles-From watching the trailer I can see that the camera angles used shows Daniel Craig’s character, James Bond to be the powerful and the main characters using extra-long shots to see the background behind him to using extreme close up shots where the audience just gets the image of his eyes this shows his raw emotion and we get to see his full reaction to what events are happening around him. The direction also use camera angles which shows James Bond as being more powerful as we, as an audience get a low down camera view of him. This shows that he is stronger and the leader of the movie.

Plot-Every James Bond has the same plot, something goes wrong and James is there to save the day. Although they all take place in different cities for example, Skyfall took place in London and Spectre takes place in Mexico and London. From the trailer I get the impression that the same plot will be used in the new film. Something bad happens in Mexico and James Bond being the best spy there is, is sent in to try and save the day. Although with the new film it seems a bit different with James going to Mexico without the audience knowing why, I would like to believe that throughout the film we will uncover the reason as to why James was there in the first place. However it seems like they, James Bond and his team, are the one’s tracking down a person instead of someone tracking them down for once.

Overall the trailer for Spectre looks very incising with all the special effects that happen, with different camera angles making some character looks stronger and more powerful than other and with the plot of the film sticking to what the audience can relate to. Keeping the plot the same will bring in people that have watched all the James Bond films as it has changed over the years but also giving it a little twist with adding extra bits in, in some scene for example the car chase that take place near the end of the trailer or when planes and helicopters are involved. Spectre is an action / adventure / thrilled kind of movie with many gun fights in many different locations that many contain many different outcomes.
