The masthead ,Cosmopolitan is a really iconic word as many people know of it and are likely just to pick it up because of the name as it is always going to be about women and how you can do a certain thing to make your body look better. As the mast head is cosmopolitan is bold and the colour is hot pink it is very likely to catch your eye and make you look into it.

Khloe Kardashian is chosen for the front cover as she is very attractive and a very iconic person in todays age as there are programmes about them called keeping up with the Kardashians which is just about their whole life (all of her sisters included).
Also the fact that Khloe is in front of the title it shows the importance of her and her attractiveness. It has certain connotations towards beauty being more important than anything else. This is evidently shown by the fact that she is on the front cover and she is on top of all of the important strap-lines and she is even in front of the mast head. This really shows her importance to the magazine and also makes you think that bing attractive is more important than anything else. The only thing that goes on top of her is the strap line that says the lingerie issue, this is basically a sexy type of underwear that people wear, its laced and people will find it attractive and they expect to be more attractive if they wear it.
