Lines of Appeal

Q 1:

The first advert i am going to analyze is this cadurry advert.
I have chosen this advert due to it being unusual and full of humor if presented to the right people also it is a funny and different advert. The persuasive devises used in this ad are the use of  the catchy and well known song this would attract people of the older generation as well as the young due to the song being old but well known to even most teenagers. The song gives us something to relate to and all connect to old and young people therefor this advert would appeal to wide range of older people due to the song but also the use of the actors used. The actors used in this advert are somewhat of old age this would also appeal to a more older generation i know this through the use of the clothes they are wearing. They are waring old style clothes to not so much appeal to the young generation like the many other cadbury adverts the which have young actors such as the eyebrows advert.

This advert would appeal to people in the 1c and below classes due to the chocolate being affordable and very well known to world population. This advert may appeal a little to groupies due to cadburys bringing out so many unusual and loved adverts also this may come up in there friends discussion due to it being well known also it would give them and there friends a topic and also maybe a better connection and if some viewers are aspires this would allow them to keep status and stay in there group.

Q 2:
Macdonald's slogan

  Image result for mcdonald's slogan

The use of this advert may be talking about when people try there food such as they maybe saying that after we have eaten there food that this is what we are going to say. The use of the word " I'm" in tales that the are referring to the person eating it and yet again portraying that this is what we will be saying once we have eaten Macdonald's.This also putting it in to the perspective of the people by using a personal pronoun of " I'm".

The use of the word " lovin" is an abbreviation of the word loving this shows that due to teens abbreviation of words such as LOL and so many more this shows that the target audience for this food could be aimed at teens also the use of the word lovin states that we as the consumers would love and enjoy this food. The word " It" is referring to the food and that it is telling and stating that we would enjoy there food.

They use the personal pronoun to state that no matter what you would enjoy this food also it involves the consumer in a wide spread company and gives the consumer the sense of enjoyment and connection.

Q 3:

 Nobody’s Children Foundation

Nobody’s Children Foundation

This campaign uses strong and shocking images to portray how children are not only physical hurt but mentally as well. They use the children braking as a metaphor of  how  dolls can easily brake if you ain't caring and kind this is shown through the use of the children's body parts braking .

They used shock tactics to gain the attention of people and to make people aware of whats going on in the world and how you can make a contribution and effort to stopping it.They use guilt as a weapon to incise and guilt trip people into donating and help were you can.

They use the words " You would lose more than your patients " to make use think and figure out what they mean such as this allows them to again guilt trip you into helping due to them saying that some kids may die from this and if you don't help than you are a horrible person  this is what this message make people think.

Q 4:

Image result for stereotyping advertising

In this advert they are stereotyping men by the caption " who said men cant multi-task" this is stating that men cant multi task and is discriminating the way men are and how women can. This statement has been around for many years and obviously hasn't been proven but due to them using this in there advert may give way to the stereotype again.

This text portrayed men as unable to do things and could even link back to how they say women can multitasking due to them doing house work so this stereotype then links in with another one that is the poll-are opposite of this one.

Q 5 and 6:

Cartoon character Top Cat stars in latest Halifax mortgage advert

In this advert they used a well known cartoon from the 1960 this is used because people who need a mortgage may generally be older and may know this show also due to top cat being seen in our days more children and people know about this is a good intellectuality and it is used to as a persuasive  technique such as to link back to your child hood  and to also give you a sense of nostalgia.

This gives the viewer a way to the past by them showing such an old show series also it gives older people a chance to think about the past and also due to more kids knowing who they are the kids would point it out to there parents when it comes on.

This show represents fun and happiness to the past generation and also it could give them a sense of comfort in this changing world this also could show and give them the sense that they can rely on Halifax due to the appearance of top cat and his crew. The use of them using cartoon in the real world shows difference and intellectuality.

Q 7:

Image result for shocking drug addiction advert foundation

This advert shows a shocking picture of a women on the floor with dirty clothes on and a dirty house with needles etc next to here. The shocking part of this is that the have put a picture over the top of this bad and horrific image this can show that this may have been the person as a child all innocent and protected and it could be saying that this could be you or anyone no matter what gender or age. This is also stating that this is happening and that this could happen to any one even someone you know or even love and if you don't donate or help in some way it could be stating that you are doing nothing to prevent this and that this may happen to some one due to you not helping this makes you feel a sense of guilt and it almost forces you to help .

The punishment for this is that if you don't help they portray  it as you have done this to them and also seeing the picture of the child may guilt you into complying this is because the picture of the child is bright and innocent and it contradicts the way the room is this  is a juxtaposition because you can clearly see that a child doesn't belong in a place like this. The reword would be that you would feel a sense of pride thinking that you donating may save someones life.
