Media Diary Week 3

Fifa (created by Electronic arts sports) is a realistic football game, every year this giant franchise finds ways to improve whether its tweaking with the graphics, the gameplay or adding new features and this years game Fifa 17 is no different.
Here is the advert trailer for fifa 17:

The game is not targeted towards any audience in particular as is shown by the age restriction of the game only being 3 years old. The reason this game is not targeted toward anyone for advertisement is because it doesn't need to, football being the most popular sport in the world has done the advertisement for them. With technology being so involved in todays society it is now used for children to play virtual sports just as much if not more than actual sports.

Fifa is the most popular football game there is out there, it overshadows games like Pro Evolution Soccer which only has a miniscule audience compared to the vast scale of fifa players. This is why I believe that the category that people who play fifa fall into is the mainstream category. This allows them to be able to discuss the game with other mainstreamers who also followed the crowd by buying this game. I believe that the lifestyle categories for people who play fifa would be groupies and trendies to a  certain extent. Groupies would be the most suitable lifestyle category as people who play the game want to be accepted by others so they play a popular game as they know that they will be able to talk about the game with others and be accepted. It can also fit trendies too as they will buy whatever is popular just to be popular and fifa is exactly that, it is arguably the most popular game that there is out there today.
