The Black Eyed Peas - Where Is The Love?
In my opinion this song would appeal to someone who is a fan of the hip hop as it features a good amount of rap and also casual singing that fit with the beat of the song
This song has a very strong message to take from it and the video is a very important influence in this. So important to the point that the song got a re release in 2016 to combat all the hate crime, terrorism and racism in America and other places all over them world. The video heavily features a question mark which is like the symbolism of the song. When you see that question mark you think this song. The main purpose of this video is to get the message out that love still exists but we just need to find it. The video shows people trying to Spread Awareness of the issue and because of this the video was shown around schools everywhere due to how inspirational it is.
The camera work uses lots of close ups and multiple montages of clips to get a message across. Whenever theres children in the shot it always seems to be a close up. This in my opinion is to show that children are the main focus of the video as its their world that we as a nation are influencing by causing war and having issues like terrorism and racism. Its their world that will grow into however if we keep causing problems they won't have a world to grow into. Also whenever the sequence of 'Father Father' starts the camera focuses on children again and in my opinion this is because they're still young and naive enough to believe in a god. The God to them still exists so it gives them something to believe in and gives them hope for the future. The video also stereotypes the police to be against world peace as each shot they're fitted into it involves them stopping the people from getting the message out. This is an example of opinionated editing.
