The use of the voice over in the advert is very powerful, it gives us a warning before the advert saying that "you might find this film shocking" which wants to make the audience intrigued as to why they might find the film shocking and makes them watch on.
The voice over is very dull and he speaks quite slowly which fits in to the advert as he is being blunt about what is happening and is not trying to sugarcoat it in any way. He also uses statistics as a persuasive technique to try and get the audience to donate. Some of the statistics could even be counted as shock tactics due to the high numbers of children dying and the severity of the dirty water issue in Africa.
The background music is also very dull which
