DIVA MAGAZINE COVER |
Sex is still an extremely prevalent part of the magazine's ideologies but the main focus is promoting positivity for lesbian women. This magazine is all about being gay and it doesn't hide it. It doesn't put men down, it just talks about women.
The magazine is still expecting that a women needs another person to really find themselves. The coverline "Wife? Partner? What do you call yours?" suggests that the women reading it are in some kind of relationship, possibly a married one. While not suggesting that men are the solution, it is still giving the impression that a woman needs to be loved to get along in life.
Talk of lesbian literature suggests that the audience are interested in reading but could possibly be hinting at an erotic type of literature.
