Ted.
Before watching Ted I assumed that it would be about a bear that comes to life and would include light hearted humour and be acceptable for children to watch. I didn’t realise that it would include such adult humour and be aimed to an older audience. Saying that, It was one of the funniest films I have ever seen. The voice of the bear, who is Seth Mcfarlane adds to the humour of the film because his voice is recognisable from the hit tv show Family Guy. The humour can be described as adult, rude crass and even at some points a little sour. Although, Mark Wahlberg plays a very convincing character and adds to the humour of the film in a big way through his facial expressions and mannorisms. The plot of the film is a big strange but is also very enjoyable. It starts off being about a child who gets a teddybear for Christmas and then makes a wish that he could really talk so that they can be best friends. The teddybear then comes to life and the two stick together as John (Mark) grows up. As any normal film does, there is a tragedy part in the middle of the film and towards the end, that gets resolved in the end and ends on a high. It’s not your typical ‘toy comes to life’ film, because of the adult humor, The characters are played very well and the actors are very carefully chosen. Mila Kunis also stars in the film as John’s girlfriend. I would recommend anyone who likes sarcasm style humour and enjoys films that are unique and different to go and see this.
I would rate this film 5/5.
