NSPCC hands advert
Ideologies
The ideologies of this advert is that the hands of a parent
should be used in the correct way with children in terms of helping it grow up,
and not be used as a means for violence.
Visual style
The style is cartoonish and features a boy going through
various stages of growing up helped by a pair of hands, for example helping hi
to ride a bike or pushing him on swings. The camera stays focused on the child
throughout placing emphasis on him growing up
Lines of appeal
Because it is a young child it appeals to peoples need to
nurture as people see this and think of how children should be helped and not
hindered by parents.
What works
The way it uses the hands to set an example of how to be
with a child, this is not what would usually be seen in an advert of this type,
also this is quite shocking in itself as you are always expecting a bad ending
to the advert.
