BREAKING BAD
I can not pick a specific episode or season, all of them are expertly produced. I am not an avid fan of Drama series, in fact when I hear that phrase it makes me think of programmes like Downtown Abbey, but after the media described the phenomenon that is 'Breaking Bad' I just had to find out what all of the fuss was about. Needless to say, 4 Seasons in after 2 weeks, consuming around 30 hours in total, I was slightly obsessed. I eventually caught up to the live shows and it became something which I actually looked forward to of a week. Each episode was un-guessable, main story line charters can die in any episode and I think that's the gritty realism that the main producer Vince Gilligan has went for. With surprisingly good acting from especially Bryan Cranston (Walter White) and Aaron Paul (Jesse Pinkman), this series has it all. From high tense action scenes, the height of a meth dealing business for the main character to cancer treatment and coughing up blood. These are the things that makes the audience relate to the main character Walter White who, with not long to live after his Cancer, wants to leave behind some cash for his struggling family. Te audience are kept in the loop for the majority of the story, but that doesn't mean some elements don't truly shock the audience. This is my first Drama series that I have ever watched and has set the Standards pretty high for any others, the story line blew my mind, especially the last episode which I wont go into any detail about. But it is a very dramatic ending to a series that will remain number 1 in many peoples hearts.
I don't think any other series will ever appeal to me the way Breaking Bad did.
