Media Diary3: VOGUE

When it comes to defining an audience by the Income and Stautus model, I think VOGUE would come around the C1/B Category. I would say this becuase after analysing the front cover. i found the the price wasn't too high, but it's not cheap either. There are other fashion magazines, which cost a lot more, so i think this catergory is suitable for the magazine.

Personally I think VOGUE aims the magazine towards girls/women around the ages of 16+. They're more likely to be influenced by the fashion ideas which are printed on the cover, and inside on the pages. The audience members probably have high standards when it comes to their own personal image, and the image of the people they associate with.

After looking through Young And Rubicms 4C'S, I decided that the aspirer would be most suitable for reader of this magazine. This would be due to their need in life for status, and thir view, that image counts. The model on the cover of the VOGUE magazine is Cara delevigne, who is a popular fashion model amongst teenagers. Vogue is one of the mst inspiring magazines for this selection of people, as it includes everything thhey need to satisfy their want for materialistic values. Having Cara on the front of the magazine will bring in more people to the magazine, as she is a strong fashion icon.

Furthermore, of all the lifestyle categories, readers of VOGUE are most likely going to be categorised as Groupies and/or Trendies. This is suggested due to their desire to be accepted by others, and their need for the admiration of their peer group. I think VOGUE is suitable for these types of people, because they're more than likely to read the magazine in order to get fashion advice, and stay on top of the latest trends.
