Media diary week 3

Over the weekend I consumed this piece of media text. The word 'Vogue' is a French term meaning the prevailing fashion or style at a particular time. This immediately directs this text to the audience of an aspirer because the aspirer responds to how others perceive them.
 
The main attraction to this magazine is the fact that Emma Watson is on the front of it. Emma is a young English actress and model so people will idolise her and want to read this magazine so they can know about her and how they can aspire to be her. 'Heaven sent party dressing for under £150' this immediately points out that this magazine is made for people who have money and can afford £150 'party dresses' it also points out 'Emma Watson comes of age' this also gives a clear market as being adult but young women who are aging around the ages of 25-35.
 
'Sparkle how to do dazzling evening makeup' the language used here is posh and which only people who are posh would necessarily use. The magazine is aimed at people who have social needs, the headings used on this magazine supports this as they are all about showing off to the public and 'looking good'. 
 
'The real beauty secrets of the stars' when the audience read this they immediately look at the front cover and see Emma Watson and admire her beauty, this picture makes the audience want to look like her and have beauty like her which persuades them to buy the product more.
