Empire Magazine: Background/Context

Empire Magazine was founded in 1989 by Barry Mclheney. The magazine was originally published by Emap but in 2008 they were bought out by Bauer.

Online Presence
  • Facebook: They post 3-4 times a day, the status' are quite chatty and colloquial and      they always post a link to the website which consequently has an image that entices the audience. 
  • Twitter: They tweet more than they post on Facebook and occasionally retweet. Some of the tweets are just informative/funny and don't link to the website.
  • Tumblr: Only post occasionally, approx. every month or so 
  • Instagram: Like Tumblr, only used occasionally when a team member finds something funny I presume. 
  • Youtube: Features interviews for upcoming movies, only post when they get interviews.
