The Binding of Isaac Rebirth is based on a character called Isaac who has a psychopathic Christian mother trying to kill him because God spoke to her and said she must sacrifice her so to prove she worships him. The Binding of Isaac was released on the 4th of November in 2014 this game was designed by Edmund McMillen the original designer of the first game The Binding of Isaac and developed and published by Nicalis. The game is based in Isaac's basement filled with creatures and the only way Isaac can fight them off and survive is by shooting his oversized tears at the enemy.
Death is an extremely punishing subject in The Binding of Isaac Rebirth as you die the character you have been playing gets deleted and you must start from the first level. Levels in The Binding of Isaac are generated randomly which is one of the reasons players love it so much, you can never get enough of Isaac. The better you become at the game the more rewarding experience it is with the ability to unlock more characters for certain in game objectives you complete is a fun and exciting experience. Even with The Binding of Isaac feeling repetitive the enjoying experience comes from variety of enemy's you come across with different attack patterns they have which you must learn to survive in this game to defeat the boss, your own mother.
People could believe The Binding of Isaac Rebirth is just a more expensive version of the original game The Binding of Isaac with no huge changes however when comparing the games you notice a massive difference. The original game The Binding of Isaac was slow and the game was slow to the point it felt unplayable with awful graphics which didn't even have settings to improve it where as the updated version The Binding of Isaac Rebirth remade the game to the point where it was a high quality game with brilliant graphics for the type of game it was with the game being fast paced rewarding good players for their survivability . The Binding of Isaac Rebirth added a lot more characters and updated all of the rooms even adding some rooms which could be a lot bigger than the original rooms while still keeping up with the tradition of small sized rooms to have a variety of situations you can be put in. The Binding of Isaac Rebirth added a lot more items compared to the original game adding a variety and different play styles and mechanics added to the game from your dads leg who stomps on enemy's to deals with the devil exchanging your life for valuable game changing items.
For those who aren't entertained by the style of starting off with no items in The Binding of Isaac Rebirth there are missions you can do which give you different combinations of weaponry to have fun and not try hard to complete objectives. For those who are competitive with gaming they is tournaments where you race other people in a knockout staged tournament trying to finish before them this is usually done in a best out of three to see which player is superior.
One of the key reasons The Binding of Isaac Rebirth was such a good game was because it was unlike any game people had ever seen created with funny looking designs and generally how different the story line was from any other game created. The play styles you use in most rooms must be different as the amount of enemy's they is makes it impossible to complete without changing up your play style since they is so many different movement and attack patterns for each enemy which makes it a hard yet rewarding experience to play hours on end understanding the mechanics of each enemy. I would recommend The Binding of Isaac Rebirth to anyone who would like an endless game which they could spend hours on end everyday playing, I would rate this game a 9/10.
