Take That The Flood
The video starts off by showing all five members of Take That carrying a boat and all in costume to be in a boat race. The name on the boat is progress and this is symbolising the name of the album the song is taken from. They get into the water and see the opposition and how they are in a race with them. They say in the song "there was more of them than us" even though they have the same number of rowers so this could be suggesting they have more experience than them. When they say they said we would never dance again" could mean that they were sent out and were taken over by the flood which made them loose. It can also mean that they were holding back the floods of crowds gathering all around them when they were together as a five and now that they are back they can dance again. The dancing is actually them performing together again like they used to.
When we get the extreme close-up of one of their eyes it goes to what they are feeling and what is going on inside their heads when they are doing tis. This is good as it involves the audience and gives them a chance to see what they are thinking and feeling at this moment. They say "now they'll never dance again" showing how because the other team won they will go mad with power and end up trying to get bac together and then loose the race just like Take That are doing in this video.
When it zooms of them and we see them in London we see how far they are going in this boat. This is showing how they want to be back at the top again and they will keep pushing themselves to get there unlike the other team that just stopped at the finish. This is good because we can see how they want to go far and do well and get back to the top once more but the others are not able to push themselves far enough.
When they are sailing past London we see many cuts and shots of London's famous landmarks and it keeps cutting back to them in the boat. This is showing all of Britain's most famous icons and Take That are just that because they have reached the top again and have gone the extra mile that was needed to make them a British icon again. I like this and may include cuts like this in my video.
The art were they go of into the clouds and into the distance shows that they don't know what the future may hold for them but they will keep on going until they have to stop and can go no further in their careers. Overall this video is good and I think that there are some elements that I could use in my video.
